not predicting a world war, but if I was the last thing I would have wanted to spend my money on would be gold...it's not even bullet proof.
I would buy a lot of canned spam...that would be valuable and then I could trade it for gold or whatever I wanted

Why are you bearish on stocks now when the labor and employment data released on Friday are bullish combined with little or no inflation? You're prediction of a 20% drop would be even more dramatic than the correction we had last fall. IMO you money is better off long than short and this bull market has a few more years to go but time will tell!
