Craig, AOL made a bad mistake
awhile back in selling its backbone. Now it wants legislative help to rectify its mistake. They should have to live by their decisions. But please everyone watch carefully the actions by Rick Boucher. Unfortunately Rick has gotten into a position of power and it is very likely that he will push through the AOL position unless there is very strong and vocal opposition. He was my congressman. If there was ever an icon for a "Liberal Democrat", it is Rick Boucher. He will pick our pockets any hour of any day to get the money for government largess. And now he is in a position of enormous power and I predict that AOL will get its way unless there is a coordinated and powerful other position carefully and skillfully enacted. The quid pro quo for Rick probably will be that AOL will donate huge resources to far Southwest Virginia in Rick's district as "payback" for his affirmation of their position.
The T/TCI/ATHM position is in deep trouble unless Senator Wallop will "engage" fully.
