What I think is happening is the webpage that you are trying to access is using embedded javascript that has calls that your web browsers virtual machine can't handle because it is an older version. This can be fixed by downloading the newest version of the browser.

The other problem could be that the browsers preferences for handling javascript are not turned on, check this first and see if that is the problem.
