Chalu,

I don't mean to be part of the bumbling idiot crowd, but I found the lack of 4Q earnings confusing also. It seemed to me that the strong possibility that IFCI restated previous quarters, so 4Q may not simply be Year end minus the first 3 quarters. If you listened to the conference call I think you'd get the same impression because analysts on the call were asking for quarterly numbers and being told the quarterly numbers would be faxed to them by the end of the week. If it was a simply YE minus YTD 3Q then there would be no need for delay.

I don't think the year end number of $0.43 is in question. The auditors seem to be fine with that, but the quarterly numbers seem open to interpretation.

All IMHO, and I am long IFCI.

Shane

chalu: Take more than 3 seconds next time. 98 Q4 EPS was 12 cents--not 19 cents. You win tonight's arrogant ignoramus award and now qualify for a position in the IFCI accounting dept.
