One thought on internet via cable, as I sit accessing
the internet via phone line while my cable has been out for
2 hours, cable NEEDS to be more reliable. In my house, I've lost
phone service once in 5 years and that was due to local construction.
The cable goes out (often for several hours) during every wimpy
storm and even at times when the weather is fine.
I suppose one could have phoneline access as a back-up system.
Unless they manage to keep the internet access up even if the
TV signal is out but I doubt it.

Remember, I am not advocating a purchase of AOL stock. My point is that it is a real risky short unless you see a market correction around the corner. I do, but I don't know when. I'd rather tie my money up in puts with companies like Intel, where you know they are going to dog out with or without a correction.
