DELL has risky stock price according. to Sunday NYTimes business section front page (see Market Watch column below the fold). Most of the industry growth is in $1,000 computers, Dell does most of their business in the $2,000+ computer.

<<FROM THE INTERNET STOCK REPORT - DELL comments...from Steve Harmon- Editor of Internet Stock Report

DELLiberating DELL

"It seems to me that, amongst all the hoopla for infant, fledgling Internet
commerce companies, Wall Street is ignoring (at least on a p/e basis) those
companies that already have what the newcomers are striving for...
namely-brand recognition, effective business models and profitability...
CASE IN POINT - DELL. The company (as of last quarter) is doing $14 mil.
in sales PER DAY via the Net...and the recent announcement and unveiling
of their computer superstore - www.gigabuys.com - was virtually ignored
by mainstream press?"

Reply: My view: DELL (NASDAQ:DELL) represents a huge untapped potential in
both its customer base and direct-selling expertise. I think DELL has a lot
of leverage left on the table in its box and could be a category killer for
not only PCs but technology items in general with gigabuys. To get there
Michael Dell will have to think outside the box, however. I think
gigabuys.com may be first steps to perhaps realizing that. >>

Sig: Steve Harmon has been right on about AOL, CMGI, and many other internet high flyers. I feel that his latest comments about DELL make SO MUCH sense. IMHO, DELL will soon be viewed more as an internet play -- with BIG earnings. When that happens, watch out...<ggg>!!!

Regards,

Scott
