What is to doubt, Neocon? What explanation other than a lack of character and principle can account for America's twice electing a known chronic liar, cheat and adulterer? What explanation can possibly account for 70% of Americans openly embracing him after it is well known he is a flagrant lawbreaking very likely rapist traitor? Any decent people would be in the streets demanding he be kicked onto his ear. No thinking people could ever trust his words, and thinking parents could by no means ever trust him to send their sons and daughters into war, particularly a war justified by "Clinton morality.” I think the presidency has been seriously harmed, and I think the notion the Constitution is as intact as before is really quite a fantasy. The moment the Senate openly claimed that repeated and calculated lying, cheating and scheming before several courts of law and before the American people did not amount to flagrant abuses of public trust, that is when the Constitution was further damaged. The Clinton Democrats have actually claimed our Founding Fathers built into the foundation of our country a national character so slipshod as to be able to countenance such barefaced political abuse. And the American people loudly agreed with them. I hardly can see that they merit any benefit of the doubt.
