JDN, I pay $39.95 per month for my cable service. It is from @Home, and is separate from AOL. The $4.95 rate I got when AOL went to unlimited usage in early '97 as a bribe to get me to use the 'bring your own access'. If you recall that fiasco, when AOL had busy signals for hours and hours, they had to do something to cut down on the traffic. I don't know if it's still available, but you might try calling them up and threatening to quit if they don't let you have that rate. I'm pretty sure they'd rather have the subscriber at $4.95 than not.

JDN: I had planned on dropping AOL when I got @Home, but the kids made me keep it. It's $9.95 when providing your own connection.
