George, et al, The interesting thing is that the Whitehouse is lying again! They claim that they had no idea that the Serbs would resort to the cleansing in Kosovo if NATO bombed Belgrade. That is BULLS*IT!!! Sorry about the language. In Colin Powell's book he talks about how back in 1993, the question of what would happen if we bombed the Serbs with air- strikes came up. The Joint Chiefs and Les Aspin (former Sec of Def) thought that the Serbs would respond with ethnic cleansing. There was a big debate over this. M. Albright said to Powell "Why do we have all these weapons if we don't use em?" Colin says he almost had a stroke! The Whitehouse is a bunch of "ignoratti", in my opinion. My prediction: After this war turns into a fiasco, I guarantee everyone here that the Whitehouse and Clinton in particular, will blame the military for the debacle. -John
