Hello again all you Hec people!

Sorry to burst in, but evidently I messaged someone at Colombia Oil and they emailed me this attached letter. By the way their very slow, I emailed them last year I think.

Dear Don:

"There was no change in Land Status in Colombia during the past two months. The Ecopetrol auction in late March was a flop and most tracts received no bids.. Ecopetrol seems to be in an internal debate about how to attract the investment needed for exploration and infrastructure. The increasing oil price should help "raise all boats" later in the year.

To improve our presentation of Colombian petroleum land status information to oil people around the world, we have created a new downloadable wall map of Colombia. The new map contains the most current information available and will be effective through May, 1999.

When printed the map is approximately 3x2 feet -- in color -- on a scale of 1:1,500,000 and includes 1) all on-shore and off-shore (producing and non-producing) petroleum land contracts in Colombia. 2) Tracts being offered in upcoming Ecopetrol auctions 3) A schematic of major crude oil pipelines, 4) A "focus insert" that presents a selected area in more detail.

This month's focus is on the Guaduas area. The "focus map" relates the land positions of players in the area (Seven Seas-GHK, Can West, Harken, & Sipetrol) to major geologic features, oil seeps, dry holes and recent drilling activity.

Printing can be accomplished at almost any commercial printer and costs about $9.000 pesos ($6.00 dollars) in Bogota. To obtain a complementary copy please send me a request by email."

Very truly yours, Jay Errebo

P.S. I don't know if it means anything but thought I would pass it on.
