john...re maybe not 200% pa....but perhaps 100%...

i believe it was dell's turn in the "barrel"....if the earnings are solid...then the credibility of all the naysayers will be dashed...the move in the fortune 100 rankings and the shift from smokestack to tech is slow to be grasped by economists....but tech will lead any turnaround...both in equity markets and world economies..to think otherwise is pure folly....

analysts, financial journalists, advisors, pundits, cling to that which does not apply to dell.....but attempt to factor into an analysis of dell..........i'm critical of any analysis by those who do not factor in "real world" events that affect growth....

appreciate your keen postings and those from all on the thread...i'm new here, but i find it an intense daily education which keeps me focused..... pigman=truth....truth=pigman......where's the porcine pundit when you need him...??????

good luck, ed a.

<<But, even if CPQ does nothing, Dell can/will rise on its own here...>>

john: I agree. The DELL growth story will be CLEARLY articulated later this week at the NY ANALyst meeting. I think some of the "experts" will be surprised by how well DELL is doing. I also expect that we may get some upgrades at the end of the week. The DELL business model is evolving and is ideal for the current market conditions.

Scott
