example of how people try to "compel"
I earlier used the example of my son being required to swear an oath that there is a supreme being to attend boy scout activities. One may argue that he is not compelled to join the boy scouts, but I wouldn't argue that with a 6 year old. Then there is my favorite issue where I pay considerable taxes to supply roads, police, and fire protection for various freeloading religous organizations. Then there is minor issues like having In God we Trust on the only money designated as legal tender.
