Bob - I agree with most of what you posted, but I must disagree with your statement that "the MMs are loading up." In my experience with MMs, which is extensive, MMs do not "load up." In fact, their abiding goal is to be flat or short. Inventory of a stock is "dead money" and is anathema. That's not to say that there aren't any MMs who also buy and hold stocks for their own account, but MMs are trained to make their money on quick trades, $100 here and $250 there, not to analyze the merits of the stocks they're trading. Most MMs prefer first to sell a BB stock short and then bid to cover, rather than first buy it and then look to sell it at a higher price - so firm is their desire not to hold inventory. -Eric
