Linda, Aya... No need to buy big blocks of a stock to make some money. If you've got $5000 to invest and make just $100 a week on average you'll double your money in a year. 2-3% a week shouldn't be too hard. I've been doing a LOT better now that I'm not trying to hit a homerun all the time and just going for consistent small gains and the big ones are just a bonus and some breathing room.
