Kaiser says Nuinsco puddle may still be lake

Nuinsco Resources Limited NWI
Shares issued 40,440,366 Apr 1 close $1.32
Mon 5 Apr 99 In the News
John Kaiser, writing in a March 31, 1999, Express, says the latest results from Nuinsco Resources (Holes 5 through 9, released on March 30), sent the stock plunging to an intraday low of $1.25 on heavy volume of 1.9 million shares. Two weeks earlier, the stock traded at over $3; it now trades at $1.28. Mr. Kaiser says on a technical basis, he would not have been surprised to see the stock plunge below 70 cents. On a positive note, the
California-based letter writer says that while volatility may continue, he sees signs that "smart money" is quietly buying. Still, he says, there are some perplexing aspects to what Nuinsco has and has not found at Lac Rocher, and that the company has acknowledged these. Until these inconsistencies are resolved, he says, the bottom line at Lac Rocher is a
50,000- to 75,000-tonne nickel puddle. The puddle is not likely to develop into a lake with the next results, either. Mr. Kaiser says the smart money believes management probably knows where it needs to drill to get better results.
