Hi George,

Why don't you try using "stops". It will save you a lot of headache.

Just buy and hold, and keep edging your stop higher.
When the stock starts going down you'll finally get out but not earlier.

If you are really really afraid of a stampede to the exit door, i.e. gap down (and fear that you don't have your stops placed right), just buy a few out of the money or really out of the money puts.

Being out of this stock may be much more of a loss then being in and losing a few puts.

George, sorry to bring this up, but I can't stand it any more:

"your" = possessive, owned by you
"you're" = contraction for "you are"

You persist in using the former for the latter.

George saying the stock is up alot so it will go down is not an argument. The buying in Qcom is not a mania. It is trading right now at unrevised PE of 40 for next year. Is that expencive compared to its competition. Is it expencive compared to their eanings over the next years? Its not like Qcom is trading at 123 PE like Nokia. Who is a handset manufacturer without IPR protection, or even a good CDMA handset out. Frankly I think Nokia is way overvalued. I sold it at 90.
Whats going to happen when Ericy and Mot start ramping up production? How are they going to maintain their margins?

"Listen newbie... And by the way have a ton of stocks I have had that made a
tons..thank-you. I was just commenting on the mania in this market on individual issues and
the complacency that individual investors think this is normal. So don't get all pissy cause I give a contrarian view. I Hate people that are so positive on companies that they lash out if someone rises doubt. Geez..this is what this forum is for. To talk about things and educate each other.
