MM, history shows that the faith in governments to maintain bubble prosperity is misplaced. During the 20's the conventional thinking was that the Fed would be able to avoid recessions/depressions. HO HO HO During their bubble days the Japanese said they has learned from the mistakes of the US during the 30's - i think they learned the wrong lesson. We have a rendezvous with economic disater we can delay but not avoid. The price for delaying will be higher as the economy becomes more maladjusted. The bigger the boom the bigger the bust -remember that! Mike
