If that was courtship, I'm not surprised so many of them were single. I dated mostly musicians and actors and for some reason, pre-law, so meeting engineers was probably traumatic, like meeting aliens.

I can't imagine spending my life with someone who kept returning things to their original places. Maybe that's what they were trying to do with my conversation, organize it neatly, keep it from falling off the table, like your drinks.

penni= airhead? Hmmm- once when I was about 7, I asked my mother why my head felt lumpy and she said it was my brains coming out and it scared the crap out of me. I cried all night.
So yeah, maybe so. MAybe they leaked out when I wasn't watching.

I once worked for a year on a project in an office building
that was otherwise occupied by engineers. After noticing
the constant cleanliness of their restrooms, I reached the
conclusion that engineers have a unique trait that I've never
seen anywhere else ... they always flush.

If that's indeed the case, it should compensate for a social
quirk or two.
