bodie...LU has some wireless lan transmitters and receivers that could do the job in theory...avoid the tech from doing additional wiring in the home to the pc room.

In theory all that is needed is a transmitter connected to the cable as it enters the home for TV use.... just add a cable splitter at that point for TV & PC internet transmitter.

Then setup the cable modem to the receiver in the PC room..plug in the cable modem to the UCB port or install a NIC card.

Just need some tcp/ip addresses and some self install software(like aol packages their setup).

If most of the population could do a self install then the techs could
handle the exceptions.

Food for thought.
