How about the Saints, Panthers, and Rams? Will any of them ever be a credible threat in the NFC West? One of the all-time raps against the niners is that they've played in a traditionally weak division. Remember the old days when the 4-team divisions got to fill out their schedules by playing the worst team in each of the 5-team divisions? I'm not sure Vermeil's program will work at St. Louis. The Rams have been disappointing for some time. Did Ditka give up too much in the draft? Is Carolina committed to winning? What was Indy thinking in dumping Faulk for an unknown? Andy
