"Tell you what Trevor, I'll sell you as many shares as you want for $64." - Deal. I'll take all of them. What does that work out to on a per share basis?

I stand corrected on the # of shares. I'm an efficient market guy so I have no issue with your valuation argument. Anything even a fraction above the current price should always be welcome to those long on FORE.

The real issue is what is the hypothetical hurdle rate to take out FORE. FORE's got intellectual property that people want and that's what drives price, nothing else, simple supply and demand. No one really thinks that Kevin Brown at $15.6M per year is worth 15.6 times a pitcher getting paid $1M per year. He gets paid that because more than one team wanted to get a pitcher that's marginally better than the status quo and they bid his price up. Right now, if FORE is a free agent and there is not more than one CEO of networking, voice equipment, computer hardware, telecomm companies bidding on FORE's technology, I'd be very surprised. It's more likely that Cooper just doesn't have FORE on the block.
