JDN-I considered Fla. when researching relocation possibilities. My parents lived there at the time (Homosassa). It was really too hot to suit me, and of course, I didn't think it offerred the kind of growing economy we have here in the RTP area. Jamboree in Murphy Very different climate in Murphy, deep in the mountains. Very pleasant in the summer. Many retirees in that area winter in Fla and spend the summers in Western NC. I love to visit there, but would not like to spend and extended period. We're really "beach people". billwot
