Judy: the stop on PRMS was entirely technical in nature. It should be noted that in many cases, a trader's stop is at its widest or riskiest during day one. Subsequently, the trader has the opportunity to narrow the gap between the entry price and the line drawn in the sand so to speak. When technical stops, such as the one on PRMS which was placed just below the low of the past 5 days, cause for wider than normal risk thresholds, traders can compensate for the added risk by trading a smaller lot size or not taking the play at all. Keep in mind that rules should only be held as general guidelines. It is most difficult and totally naive to think that we can fit the market into a tight little box. I hope this helps, Judy. Good question.
