Still long on ASND. We're still $6 below the conversion price and
LU stock is not a bad place to be, especially after this split.

I start trading full time in 2 weeks and I want to preserve capital.

I dont understand, Sup. I have a major investment in a company that is starting to hit on all cylinders like a Jaguar V-12. A powerhouse that is cornering the market for network chipsets, fiber optics, and now data switching (I do believe they have the most state-of-the-art devices in all three areas) in a 5 year $100 billion+ market. And you sell out just when this baby is warming up in order to become a full time trader? And I make you nervous with my investment style???

I dont mean to sound caustic by any stretch, Sup. I like you and respect your information and I think you know that. But this confuses me to no end... Lucent is absolutely not even close to being comparable with a CSCO type company. LU is so much more diversified and encompassing, it makes CSCO, NT, ALA, Siemens, you name it, look like a microcosm (well maybe not NT). It is an IBM type company and therefore attacts IBM type attention from IBM type pockets. BIG TIME BABY!!!!

Lucent is making ALL the right moves at exactly the right time. It is so exciting I get tingly every time I think about it. I dont know if you've checked out this Gilder guy. He is pretty technical but does write in English. Check out some of these papers on his site.

seas.upenn.edu

Optics and bandwidth ARE THE FUTURE and Lucent is on top of both. Sure there are smaller companies that have good stuff but the big guys that make a difference arent going to buy from them. If they want it bad enough, Lucent will buy the company and resell their wares to the big guys, JUST LIKE THEY DID TO ASND (Juniper and Uniphase to name a couple could be next). And NOBODY, and I mean NOBODY has more expertise in migrating a telco from PBX to data with the ASND / Stratus merged technology.

If you're going to day trade, GOOD LUCK!!!!! I hope there isn't a greedy cell in your body. LU is definitely not for day traders. But if you want excellent 1 yr., 2 yr., 5 yr., 10 year gains with little to no risk, I cant think of anything better than LU.

Just my worthless opinion. Good luck bro', Ill be watching you. I dont want you to get rich without me!!!

GO ASND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
