CNBC's Joe Kernan announced around 3:50 that ASDV's Pres will be on squawk box tomorrow morning. For you short term traders this is usually good news, since I doubt he would agree to come on unless he has at least a few positive things to say...

Good Luck,

Rory

Traderterry,

Thanks for your condolences. I think you are making the right move picking up the shares at this price. I'm amazed at the trading volume in such a tight range. I was expecting much more volatility within the day but other than a brief flirtation with $9/share it has been a VERY narrow trading day. Don't worry too much for me. I didn't have all of my net worth tied into ASDV and even at these prices it is hard to be sad for me.

I don't know if they will change the earnings date which I think was the 20th. I would think they would want to hurry up and get the blood over with and push out the financials. If this is a short term blip then in the long run it wont really matter but if this problem is a long term problem then I will be sad that I didn't sell at $44. We'll have to wait until the investor conference call before we will get a better idea of the full nature of the problem.

I hope someone asks and pushes to understand when they knew they were going to have problems and how they went about determining what to do and who to tell what.

I think it is time to two-tier the product line (a lower cost simple solution for mid to small size companies and keep the full-blown version targeted at the Fortune 500), infuse some new management with experience going from $100M on up and expand our relationship with SAP as that is the key to removing the lumpy revenue issues. I wonder if investors have carte blanche at their conference in Palm Springs - it would be nice to get some golf in and maybe hook up with some old ASDV worker bees.

The annual meeting will be coming up as well. I was out of town during last years and depending on the timing I might be back east. If I am in town I will definitely go to that and ask these questions if no one else does. The time for passivity has passed.

When I hear more on the conference call I'll let you know. By the way, a representative will be speaking to CNBC tomorrow. If I find out the specific timing I'll let you know and if any of you do let me know. The raging bull bulletin board says it will be Romesh but I hope it is Dury as Romesh is a captivating speaker when he has time to elaborate but he doesn't do the sound bite thing real well. They'd better be ready for the tough questions. Especially if Joe Kernan is asking the questions. He has zero patience for companies that miss earnings this bad....
