modano...re : dell and aol..

"aol making all the right moves"....would you make that statement if the stock wasn't in a momentum mode??????

can't compare the two......dell has nothing to "grow into", except the future......aol, has its place but not near the fundamentals as dell.....

insight depends on how keen your vision and focus is.....momentum play goes both ways....fundamentals go one way....

good luck in any position you set...ed a.

<<I am curious as to how many Dell-Heads here are also AOL shareholders.>>

Yes. I have been an AOL shareholder since late last October. It is a great stock. I will admit that a few weeks ago I took some profits on AOL and bought some younger internet stocks -- like XNET. That has paid off BIG TIME. In under 2 months AOL has doubled. Yet, in under 2 weeks XNET has more than doubled. My ave. cost was .90 and today it is surging again up to around 5.50. I had to take some profits to cover my initial investment and diversify. Yet, I still have thousands of shares that I acquired for free. IMHO, XNET has much more upside than AOL. It is a profitable and fast growing Chinese ISP -- with new interests in the e-commerce and portal area. The world is starting to wake up to the potential this company has. I plan to keep my remaining holdings way up into the double digits. Yet, the profits went into DELL -- not AOL. DELL is still a great value and should be viewed much more positively in the next few weeks. IMHO, DELL continues to become more of an internet play all the time. Yet, check out its fundamentals and profits -- they can't be beat. That is why DELL will continue to be my largest holding.

I'm LONG on DELL for the LONG RUN.

Good Luck Investing.

Regards,

Scott

Modano:

Analysts indicate AOL to reach 215 SOONER then later. While i have moved most of my position from dell to aol in feb/march, I have continued to add to both. My current positions are in AOL, DELL, YHOO, MSFT and CPQ (just proves that no one is perfect <g>).

Best of luck,

David

Bought into AOL in November. Been a great ride -- like Dell on Steroids. Still hold a significant Dell position, and intend to keep it. Also long MSFT, CSCO, YHOO, EGRP, and RNWK. Wouldn't recommend switching from Dell to AOL at these prices -- the reverse might be better.
