I think t2k is kidding himself if he thinks he's going to stop trading options!

If the Market keeps doing what's its been doing of late, there's no way t2k, myself or anyone else for that matter could leave that kind of profit potential on the table.

It's getting harder and harder for me to stay disciplined with the current market action.

Uncle Frank, This time i am quiting options for real. Just after I am done with selling everything and putting it into a "balanced portfolio" but overweighted MSFT shares (but definately optionless). I am going to be setting up a separate options account with some play money that I plan to use on MSFT this summer---probably call options.
Of course call options. The buildup to June earnings release with the Office2k revenue is going to cause an incredible run up IMO. That is why I don't want to give up options entirely.
My separate options account will account for no more than 4% of our holdings. This time I am confident that I won't get trapped in options again--getting disciplined. I sold much earlier than I normally would have in the past, which is sign of my risk averse behavior now in the developing stage.

BTW-I think MSFT should crack the 100 level in the days leading upto earnings. However, an announcement of a settlement will push it well beyond that level. If they don't settle, it will be rocky and an call option buyer's heaven (but I will pass on that opportunity)!!
