Len, a fairly large percentage of the lakes in the Adirondacks are already dead. Some lakes have been "mined" with lime for years.

What does a good environmentalist believe?

Should we applaud rising gasoline prices because it may reduce consumption and thereby improve air quality?

OR

Does an increase just line the pockets of huge industrial megolithic oil companies who use the revenues to poke the bottom of our oceans and onland soil to increase production. Also, the revenue is used to put more politicians in their pockets after huge soft money contributions?
