That's a bit shocking. Is there a link, or do they give any more info? And I think the stock rose today just with the NAZ and the rest of the market, but who knows?

Who would be big enough to takeover Qwest?

MCI-Worldcom could certain make a run at QWST (they are going to need the extra bandwidth before long) although I'm not sure Bernie Ebbers will be looking for more dilution this early after absorbing MCI. Not saying its going to happen, but if there are credible rumors, I'd be looking in the direction of Jackson, Mississippi.

There was a technical reason for the move today. The main technician on the Point and Figure Charting thread, Ms. X, gave a reading of QWST today. Check out entries 16723, 16724, and 16729. There is reason to expect more upside action.
