For once I agree with you, at least for low-cost sub-$800 systems. The only question is who and when.

The only players I see are Intel and National. Intel will probably want to minimize this business while National will attempt to maximize it. AMD will have to get out of the entry level business because they do not have the integration necessary to be competitive against Whitney and PCOAC.

AMD is completely dependent on K7 for their long term survival.
