Versant will give a good indication of where ODIS is headed.

I agree that Q1 was a bad quarter and they need to regain their
focus. However, I disagree that ODIS is headed in the same
direction as VSNT. If this continues for 3 more quarters, then
I would probably change my opinion. With a loss os $.08 per share
and approximately 30 million shares outstanding, ODIS will incur
a loss of $2.5M. With ~$22M in the bank, ODIS will still have
a cash position of ~$20M.

ODIS is a trading stock not investment grade at sub $10. Look at the chart, there was a nice sell opportunity on the rally to 11. Step back, the correction was like hand-writing-on-the-wall. Well I sold too early to get all that gain. Now at 3$, and with company after company in the software sector experiencing the same based it is much too early to compare ODIS with VSNT. I would not be at all surprised to see this stock back at 6, with much the same story as before the run to 11. This time I'm going to hold on, maybe it will take a year, or even 20 months. Then I sell, which is the right thing to do when a stock as small as ODIS runs to its high. I have learned this lesson the hard way and am still learning.

I knew someone had to mention that, and I don't agree, BWDIK.

This result was unacceptably bad, but I don't think it was in the same class as VSNT. The revenues didn't actually go down on 12 months ago. The volatility of revenues is not as bad as with VSNT. There is a whole pile of cash on the balance sheet.

I do agree entirely though that the revenue trend is too low (this quarter was below trend, last was above it: the revenue trend is still positive, but only around 20%), that the marketing sucks, that the developer relations are inadequate, etc... .
