You put it right Linda! We needed Philips to kick this dog! You may see your $ 30+ price by even summer, if VLSI management plays its cards right! They are too stupid to screw up now in the upcoming business expansion! A TXN or IBM buyout at $ 30+ will be very attractive for all - but I don't see the synergies yet, though it maybe secretly cooking! Buying VLSI will be pocket change for IBM, but I don't know how it will fit in their business, which is already fat(and losing money in the PC business!). IBM is however not a leader in telecommunications and VLSI may come in handy if they have that to offer by their chipsets and wireless technology!
