TN - When I said TAVA wasn't "a little guy", I was referring to its position relative to its competition, not relative to the totality of corporate America... Also, I wouldn't characterize TAVA as "overwhelmed by post-Y2K business" yet, since it isn't "post Y2K". However, TAVA definitely has strategic contacts and relationships with larger manufacturing corporations that their competitors would KILL for. They are turning away some work, from what I can tell, on their own terms. They are building a client base that will be a tangible asset moving forward, and have a database of their clients' automation and information systems that will make focused marketing/sales efforts for retrofits, enhancements, and enterprise<->plant floor integration easy to rifleshot. It wouldn't be appropriate of me to "whistle blow" on some of the clients they're landing, but a walk through your local grocery store or Walmart would cover a lot of the names. As far as the interest from the investment community, that's a whole nutha buncha stuff. You and I both know that the technology services sector, with a few rare exceptions, is pretty flat. I think TAVA, when viewed compared to many of these so-called "comparables", has a better forward-looking picture than the ERP-and-Y2K-heavy shops. TAVA has *absolutely* done a HORRIFIC job of telling their story, and you'll get no argument or disagreement here. And until the past 6-8 months, they were still in limbo looking for a strategic focus moving ahead. I am confident that they have it, but am still bent that they don't know how to communicate it with the energy, enthusiasm, and bravado that you'll find with the executives many of the more "exciting" small caps. They need a kick ass IR/PR person/firm, some good marketing, a few killer success stories, and a massive evangelism road/show campaign with the goal of shedding the Y2K skin and creating/defining a whole new market for plant floor information management that they would be the defacto "gorilla" in. It can be done. I am 100% confident of this. Will it be done? Hmmm.... Wish I knew. I can only say that the TAVA folks I know are quite pumped up these days, and I'm pretty good at seeing through bullshit. So take that for what it's worth, but I'm hanging in there for now.
