This is a slippery slope - a couple of years ago with Informix in the high 20's i recall a similar discussion on this thread - with some mention of the employees "breaking out the champagne" and feeling confident in their Q4 - we all know what happened since then. In my experience most employees even at the director level dont know the total picture of how their company is doing and may event taint the picture based on their own groups performance, and anyone who does know anything material has been trained too well not to leak anything.
