Speculation / rumors:

Okay, heard the rumor that has been posted that Dell inked / is inking a deal with 3dfx. Isn't that investors meeting for dell beginning wednesday? biz.yahoo.com I'm not going to draw out this speculation any further, but it's food for thought.

Misc thoughts:
-If TNT2 is having yield problems, doesn't that bode well for 3dfx and others who target OEM's?
-The rumors of V3 3000 yield problems have me puzzled.
1) V3 has announced that the chip was more robust and the silicon more stable than inititally thought hence the performance / speed and extra model (3500) that we now have.
2) If there was a problem with yields, why would they have done this (I tend to believe the official line that yields are on the better side)?
3) The review of the final retail board that mentioned flips (v2000 with tv out and v3000 without) brought up a question... could v3000 be a rare commidity due to OEM demands (which BTW have not yet been announced).
