There's a CYA 8-K, an 8-K/A and a 10-K/A filed today. The first includes a lot of cautionary statements, but it doesn't look new to me.

I don't understand the comparisons to ASND that propagate on this thread. You hit it on the head: Ascend was making money consistently. Ciena is vulnerable to failures to renew any one of its contracts. When a company has no diversification, you have to worry. Any piece of news could send the stock spiralling in either direction. It's just too risky a play. Why not bet on something like Oracle, rather than a highly speculative company that is many quarters from proving its products will survive major competitors advances. You could have bought Dell a week or so ago at $35. It just makes no sense to be in Ciena at this time....My opinion.......I haven't heard any reasonable rebuttal, and I supsect none is coming.....R
