These things all take time, which means that you are vulnerable. You can't trust in fate, that a night watchman won't pass, or an adulterous couple won't be rolling around in the bushes. Too much at stake. You can't trust any other human being for help, it's not safe, either. Fibers are a bummer, too, you need to make sure that none of the victim's hair is in your place, unless the victim had a reason to be there (which is why I suggested spouses, that makes fibers easy).
