G,

I have a question that puzzles me. It has nothing to do with amzn or stocks. It is about the Japanese economy. Why is the reluctance of Japanese consumers perceived as a problem ? I guess they are not buying new clothes, or new cars or new gadgets. So what ? Are the children starving, but parents refuse to buy them food ? Why should they junk their good-running cars just to buy new cars and waste a lot of resources ? Is the aggregate production of their society insufficient to meet their needs ?

What % of Amazon's float is restricted, and when does it become unrestricted (insider shares...a potential problem with liquidity (over liquid)?
