David and all: I hate to repost someone else's message but this one summed it up better than any I have seen yet. This was posted on the yahoo thread. Whoever you are, I couldn't have said it better:
He could have fought like hell to help close business on the final quarter of his reign of terror. After all, he was paid $8 million up front. He could have worked his butt off to line up strategic deals and make a smooth transition to the new team. He could have worked with the board and the new team to agree on a time frame to transition out, and issue a press release to state that Inprise was in good hands - that his role was no longer needed. After screwing up the company, he could have behaved with dignity this ONE TIME so that the stock price wouldn't suffer. It would have been so easy to wait until the numbers are reported, to arrange an analyst call with Del and the new team, to explain why he was leaving, to lay out the transition. But instead, this selfish man hid out during the last two weeks of the quarter like a coward and then quit before HIS numbers were released with $8 million in his pocket. An obvious sign to investors that the quarter is going to suck. Board: WHERE DID YOU FIND THIS QUALITY GUY???

What a loser.

David,

I was going to try to cut and paste a response to all of your statements, but I grow weary. Suffice to say that every one of your explanations are flawed, every one. If you wish to assume, foreigners have suddenly decided to short the stock once it went to these low levels, then so be it. If that makes sense to your logical mind, then good luck to you. But I am willing to make yet another prediction, and that is the short interest will continue to rise. Although I will never be able to prove it, the people doing it are the floorless bandits. I hope everyone on this thread has found the "floorless" thread I mentioned the other day. It explains in excruciating detail how it works, and that they are 100% devastating.
