Yes, this is what would happen if history [the past cycle] repeats.
I have a suspicion that the present cycle for semi equip orders may
develop differently. Orders may increase more slowly - or even
stay flat - until a steeper increase in order rate resumes. So the order peak may be later than September. This is just my guess.

Judy, I hope the semi sector is robust enough to hold the NAZ together.

It's the semi sector that's holding the Naz together? Wha' hoppen to MSFT, WCOM, CSCO, QCOM, etc.?

Heard again last night on one of the business shows that MSFT and WCOM were 1/3 of the S&P 500 gain in Q1. A lot of them continue to whine about lack of participation by the small and mid caps. Others are beginning to say 'so be it'. Well, back to your comment, go Intel, Applied and LSI.
