having the os didn't guarantee msn to be #1; explorer is the new channel for microsoft to distribute through backed into office and the os I agree completely, and am bullish on RNWK because I don't think Microsoft will win the streaming media battle any time soon. But your message to which I replied said Microsoft (and AOL) had to either buy or build streaming media technology. Microsoft has done so already. They make the client. They make the server. They make the tools to produce the audio and video clips. So I just don't see what more you think they need to do on that score. And, of course, they produce web pages that use the technology, although they could certainly do more in that area. Here's an example of the audience experience using only Microsoft tools: msnbc.com
