And of course what fork to use, and what kind of shoes to wear. Surely you jest. I have trouble convincing them to eat with utensils and wear shoes at all. Though this morning Jenny subjected me to severe criticism because I brought out "party shoes" instead of "school shoes". So I suppose she's learning, though not from me. My way of exposing them to the arts is simply to keep good books and good music around, and hope some of it sinks in by osmosis. So far I admit that they show much more appreciation of nature , which is ok with me. There is an art center up the coast, with the occasional exhibit or concert, but I don't think either of them would sit still long enough to survive a concert, and I doubt the local art snobs would approve of them running around barefoot.
