NT had good volume this morning(1.4MM shares) and is up in a somewhat soft market(although the competition is also up: LU and CSCO). IF this continues through the day, we will have our confirmation of a breakout from the 8 week range of $60, +/- 5%. I must admit I am happily surprised at how quickly we have moved since the end of the month. While I still don't expect us to breakout to a new high(eg, $70) and hold there before earnings are reported, I am prepared to be happily surprised there as well. We might also see a response to NT presence at the Inform '99 show in Las Vegas on 4/11-16. This is the big data show(eg, the Enterprise/Bay business). I think we would be in the "quiet period" by then, so probably no financials, but maybe new product announcements. All in all, a nice "pop" in the stock the week before I have to write the IRS a big check. Hope this continues and I have to write them another big one next year! Paul
