OT--AOL

LOL...Look, I basically agree w/ you, as I use a university ISP and find AOL clunky and slow. But the point is--perhaps--that you design windows software and showed your Mom how to do everything...if not, she'd be on AOL like your friends...it is "user friendly" in that it opens with channels, which are kind of like traffic cops directing you here, there, etc, it makes it easy for the newbie--and of course, I agree, like traffic cops it ultimately slows down and confuses everything in comparison to just surfing on your own.
I find it's hard to get people to switch--a very smart friend of mine who's a doctor and having his own webpage built STILL uses AOL all the time no matter how I try to convince him otherwise...people get used to it and feel secure.
Oh well, enuf of AOL!
