May I offer an entry in the blowoff contest? If so, I believe these stocks hit a peak today, April 6, 1999, in a speculative blow-off, and that Yahoo's earnings will be the catalyst for the decline's start.

Does this meet the criteria for an entry in the contest, Auric?

Auric,

I still say as long as you have AOL in the index, a 40% decline is going to be next to impossible. That stock is the reason you still have the cash burning a hole in your pocket from the January pull back. AOL--The next MSFT!!!!!!!
# 3. BTW, I think the Y2K Kahuna will bring the whole market to it's knees so I predict that the great collapse will begin July 10,1999.
The reason will be poor 2nd quarter earnings with the blame going to stepped up spending on the Y2K bug. (what a great way to scam away all your problems.) The pre-announcements will scare the funds into selling to preserve their meager gains year to date, and the little guys will follow this time.

Steve

Auric, I've used up all my #'ed posts, but after looking at the Amazon chart, I believe that This mornings opening price would be the top.

Amzn made a pretty dramatic double top reversal and I heard a soloman smith barney guy on NBR feverishly saying to buy internets -g-

we also have a Bradely top, which called the 7/20 top, plus a bunch of fibonacci turning points and cycle turns around April 6th.

I think Amazon might be the Sell of the Century here.

and given the bearish rising wedge in the index charts, which is the same chart formation the dollar collapsed out of in August (and hang seng in 97), we could have a internutz BK like January.

Russia will probably declare war.
