Thanks John, that was kind of interesting. But fwiw I know quite a bit about the sector, in fact I did some of the SCM work at Dell which is why I know Lucretious Taurus. I am of the opinion that the entire slowdown in software is actually saturation vs. y2k inspired. Anyway who knows, but in all cases it certainly doesn't look to improve until after y2k, right? psft and jdec, baan, manu, vntv, azpn, and others have already collapsed. Only i2 and sebl are standing - even if you take the position that the strongest company, sebl, is immune to y2k and mkt saturation the fact is their competition is hurting badly and will muddy the waters with free software and other gizmos... I2 and Sebl are $1MM+ packages after all. If you guys have to short, why now short a declining sector? Instead of the net stocks I mean.
