Razor:

Thank goodness for your Razor sharp senses of humor!!! I liked your wav file!!! Captured the moment well!

As an early poster with confidence in Abacan at the $2.00 level, I have felt as if I have been left with a major slog of egg dripping down my cheek... and frequently I had difficulty catching the "yolk" while trying to keep my sense of humor!

Abacan was a clear case of bad things happening to good (I know... I exaggerate) people for me. I've licked my wounds and am moving forward as constructively as possible. Years ago I read a great editorial in Saavy Magazine. The editor had been invited to join an honorary society but did not feel that the application captured the reason for her success in life. Bottomline for her was not her accomplishments. Rather, she thought that how she responded to adverse situations was the true mark of her depth of character and competence. I have to agree. On that basis, any survivors in the oil patch have my vote of confidence and admiration. Rod is exemplary of the tenacity and guts it takes to stay alive in this business that is so dependent upon factors far beyond your control as an operator. Most people on this thread have taken some hard knocks with Abacan (although some investors have been "Foxy" in their approach to the stock). Irrespective of what happens with this company, I know that I have learned a lot and hope to carry some wisdom forward with me.

Anyway... I guess the thread is waxing sentimental in the absence of definitive news... So... Razor... you're "group hug" *.wav file hit my funny bone and drew me into the fray! This has been a hell of a roller coaster (the oil patch in general and Abacan in particular) but everything is good for something. I really hope that something valuable emerges from the current status of Abacan. In the mean time, I intend to continue monitoring the thread and if I hear anything meritorious, I will post. The Abacan thread has been a unique opportunity for me to interact with some remarkable human beings. For that I remain thankful! There I go waxing sentimental!!!

The best to all of the Abacan shareholders. If the truth be known, I am not optimistic, but sometimes those are the best of times to acquire! Time will only tell if this company will rise from the ashes or will simply fade into the embers.
