I got burned on the USA/Lycos/TMCS merger. I hope the market will like the merger between AOL/CBS. My fear is the market putting p/e ratio on the new company.

Board: What would AOL buying CBS do to AOL's stock price"

Don't know what it do for the price, but I would assume that
AOL would want to assure itself that it has a news gathering out-fit.
There are not too many of those around.
CBS has reporters in the field. These are very scarce, right now.
Microsoft has a tie-in with NBC.
CBS was talking about aligning with CNN.
Time-Warner nixed that deal.
Going forward, this might be very big indeed.
Now, what AOL needs is a tie-in with ATT/TCI so that AOL can give Web-TV a run for it's money.
Things are happening fast !!!
It's AOL vs. MSFT
Case vs. Gates
...and, we were alive to see it happen.
