DISREGARD PRIOR POST. I WAS MISINFORMED. The opinion attributed to George Gilder was not his, it was posted on the SI/GEORGE GILDER FORBES ASAP site.

Sorry everyone. For this gaffe, I am banishing myself permanently. What a complete idiot - Goodboy was right about me.

Oh well, to err is human...to forgive divine. Here's your chance for sainthood, everyone.

Bye!

Jack, you abandoned ship! Can't say I blame you and my technically illiterate advice would have been to do that if I was forced to make a decision. I guess you are feeling pretty damn bleak just now. Sorry to see that. I guess that's life in the markets. Anyone can get got - the big fractalized lumps can come swooping in at just the wrong time in chaotic concatenation. Just as things all went wrong for Globalstar AZ [After Zenit] simultaneously which was a LOT of fun at the time, with white knuckles, possible midnight margin calls and nervous contemplation of the job market.

That was despite the best CDMA people in the business, the best rocketeers and O'ring designers. Unfortunately, the amazing Zenit multiple independently targetable re-entry vehicle was not the cold war threat it was cracked up to be and it cracked up just when it should have been accelerating into space.

Then Long Term Capital Management and the world's financial system were in harmonic oscillation on the downbeat with a general 50 year financial panic and stock market collapse and the Asian contagion. Woe to a lot of people.

I guess you are in good company, small consolation though it might be. Maybe Globalstar will rescue some portion of your funds.

Let's hope ICO cancels soon! 50c in the $ for Iridium is nothing hot. I suppose similar financing for ICO will be persuasive.

Thanks for your contribution to the information pool [don't disappear]
Maurice

Dear Jack Morgan: I can understand why you are no longer an Iridium shareholder, but could you shed some light on why you are no longer an Iridium satellite telephone subscriber? You spoke so highly of the service and how useful it was to you in previous posts. Why did you stop/what did you do with your equipment?

Best regards,
Geoff Goodfellow
