One suggestion is to simply use the list as a starting point. I post all the hits and some of them may be already broken out a few days past and buying here would be somewhat of a chase. Although, on market up days I notice a dart choice method of a portfolio of the milesovs would work quite well. ;0)

Another way I trim the list down is to check the 89.3.5 stochs on each stock. I like to see it crossing up through 80 during a breakout. Likely a time to get long a stock as it has mo mo and a positional entry. What could be better?

i apologize that i am not able to provide as much analysis on the hits as i would like. but i'm not comfortable with adding filters to reduce the list either.bdog has made that attempt with the small caps. not sure what he calls them anymore? hybrids or levels or sumtin. but it was in my view that some were overlooked as a result of the additional filters put into the scans.his scans are successful, but i wanted a chance to see them all. for that reason, i have not altered my scans as such. even when i post my thoughts on the hits as i did this weekend, i miss some. and it would be nice to hear what others think, when i do overlook something.most of the analysis i do on them is related to trendlines, where resistance may appear, is it a bo?, is it too extended and warrants only a daytrade? the scan looks for short term strength and volume increases for the most part...
david has the right idea in watching for excessive volume the following day early on. that seems to be the key ingredient.if your on instant messenger, we may be able to assist intraday. most of the plays we have picked up off the scan hits have been picked by comparing volume and using a real time look at intraday charts for buy signals or strength of the day's move and whether we feel that move is extended at the time. iqc delayed charts may work just as well, i'm not sure...
again, it's just a scan that seems to work under current market conditions. it really surprises me how many breakouts it does catch.because of that, not all are considered day trades and sometimes nitpicking the entry causes it to run away without us, lol.
if you have im and are interested in intraday conversation regarding entries,or any other 56er for that matter regarding all the watchlists brought to the thread, send me a pm and we can try and work together, the more eyes the better, the way i see it.
